Somalia: Puntland President Lays Down Foundation Stone for New Presidential Palace

Garoowe:The President of the Government of Puntland State ofSomalia, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Mohamud (Farole), has laid down the foundation for construction of Puntland’s new Presidential Palace.

President Farole, accompanied by a number of Cabinet ministers and mayor of Garowe, laid down the foundation stone to launch the construction of the new presidential palace.

Puntland’s current presidential compound was formerly the office of Nugal Governor, built during the reign of former Somali President Gen. Mohamed Siyad Barre.

Currently, the Government of Puntland is building the new Parliament House and building a government Guest House in Qardo.
